CT Scan Imaging Professional Job Description
This role involves operating CT scanners to obtain high-quality images of patients, preparing patients for scanning, and maintaining equipment in accordance with departmental protocols. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in radiologic technology, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operating CT scanners to obtain high-quality images of patients
- Preparing patients for scanning, including administering IV contrast when necessary
- Maintaining equipment and adhering to departmental protocols
- Working under the supervision of a radiologist to ensure patient safety and accurate imaging results
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have formal training in radiology technology from an AMA-approved program. Additionally, you should have at least three to four years of experience in radiologic imaging, with special procedures experience preferred. Registration by the A.R.R.T. as an RT(R)(CT) and state licensure are also required.
