Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier/Host to join our team. As a key member of our food outlet, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt, friendly, and professional service to guests, utilizing proper greeting and departure phrases and service standards established by management.
- Greet and escort guests to tables, coordinate seating assignments, and communicate with servers and restaurant management to provide top-tiered service.
- Manage dining reservations and wait lists, utilize Open Table as needed, and provide servers' names to guests at applicable outlets.
- Keep the hosting and cashiering areas clean and organized, clean promotional displays, menus, counters, etc., and maintain inventory.
- Perform cash handling duties, including receiving cash from Cage/Vault, verifying amounts, and placing them into the till.
- Make change, issue receipts, receive cash, credit cards, or comps from guests, record amounts received, and prepare reports of transactions.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED certificate is required, along with one year of experience in a cash-handling position.
- Knowledge of proper cash handling procedures and ability to operate a cash register/point of sale system are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, basic English reading and writing skills, and proficient English conversation skills are required.
- Must be able to work effectively within a team, have a willingness to work flexible schedules, and adhere to safety guidelines and grooming standards.
