Critical Care Nursing Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse to join our team. As a PACU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the immediate post-anesthesia period, ensuring a safe transition to Phase I recovery. Your duties will include assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan to achieve the goals of the PACU department, providing safe nursing care and a safe environment for patients and families, transcribing and implementing physician orders, documenting patient-related information, administering medication and IV fluids accurately and safely within nursing guidelines, and updating/revising the plan of care as needed based on continued patient assessment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate a treatment plan to achieve the goals of the PACU department.
• Provide safe nursing care and a safe environment for patients and families.
• Transcribe and implement physician orders.
• Document patient-related information.
• Administer medication and IV fluids accurately and safely within nursing guidelines.

Qualifications:

• You must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
• You must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
• You must have current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
• You must have a minimum of 1 year of previous nursing experience in Critical Care/Recovery.
