**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with computed tomography equipment and ensuring accurate images for medical interpretation.
Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
- Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
- Position patients appropriately for scanning
- Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues
- Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and follow safety procedures when working with radiation
- Maintain accurate patient records and understand the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in CT technology
- BLS certification, ARRT (CT) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop easily
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
