Job Requirements:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill the role of Code Enforcement Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that building construction and renovations comply with applicable building codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect residential building construction, renovations, and mobile home installations to ensure compliance with building codes and ordinances.
- Prepare and issue reports and notices as necessary.
- Provide technical guidance and interpretation of building codes and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and follow up on cases.
- Respond to public inquiries and concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of experience in building inspection or a related field.
- Valid driver's license.
- Certification as a Residential Building Inspector within 12 months of hire and annually thereafter.
