Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Bus Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of buses and support vehicles. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to ensure safety and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
- Schedule and administer fleet maintenance, troubleshoot problems with equipment, and communicate availability of vehicles for service.
- Repair and maintain diesel engines and bus equipment, supervise maintenance operations, and plan and distribute work.
- Ensure compliance with State, Federal, and Company requirements, work closely with maintenance management, and review repair orders.
- May order fuel for all vehicles and parts, initiate and implement projects to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Requirements
- 7 years of hands-on mechanical supervisory experience, 10 years of mechanical experience repairing and maintaining diesel vehicles & equipment.
- ASE certifications applicable to bus maintenance a plus, high school diploma or equivalent, technical training preferred.
- Possess CDL Operator's license with passenger and air brake endorsements, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs.
- Good written and oral communication skills, computer skills, professionalism, initiative, and leadership.
