Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Blood Collection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples from patients using various techniques, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
- Prepare and package specimens according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and specimen collection data.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a clinical setting.
- Valid phlebotomy certification and high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff.
