Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Functional Safety Engineer to design and develop functional safety plans, concepts, and architecture for vehicle control systems. This role requires strong knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or MIL-STD-882E.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and develop functional safety plans, concepts, and architecture for vehicle control systems.
- Drive supplier delivery of safety work products and integration of their components into the vehicle safety concept.
- Perform safety-related analysis such as HARA, FMEA, and FTA.
- Drive standardization of application-level safety software architectures, best practices, and test guidelines.
- Mentor team members in functional safety and its implementation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, software, systems, or equivalent engineering degree.
- 3 years' experience in functional safety or implementation of safety software.
- Experience with industry standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or MIL-STD-882E.
- Understanding of vehicle control system design and development process.
- Able to work across multiple technical disciplines and roles.
- Experience with JIRA, DOORS, Magic Draw or other software system design tools.
