About the Role
The Deputy Auditor/Treasurer will work under the general supervision of the County Auditor/Treasurer, assisting with various tasks related to property transactions, elections, and public records. This position requires strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database creation/maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate biennial November elections, annual township elections, and special elections, ensuring accurate voter records and ballot accuracy.
- Process real property transfers, using Arc/GIS mapping software to create property maps based on legal descriptions.
- Work with title company staff, attorneys, and members of the public to address concerns and resolve errors related to property transactions.
- Disseminate property information to all Land Use departments and update the MNTax system to reflect all changes.
Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field, and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions.
- Working knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping procedures, contemporary office technology, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read legal descriptions and deeds, and perform related office duties.
