Role Description:
As a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), you will be responsible for providing one-on-one care to clients in their own homes, assisting them with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
You will also help clients with mobility, transfers, and range of motion exercises, monitor and record vital signs, and assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and grocery shopping. This role requires a high level of compassion and empathy, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Help clients with mobility, transfers, and range of motion exercises
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and grocery shopping
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Communicate regularly with clients' families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
- Document care provided and report any changes in clients' health or behavior
Requirements:
- A valid (NJS) HHA certification
- Valid ID and Social Security Card
- PPD
