Job Description:
We are looking for a talented Surgical Care Professional to join our team. As an Advanced Practice Nurse Anesthetist, you will be responsible for providing patient-centered anesthesia care in collaboration with surgical teams.
You will possess excellent clinical skills and engage in high-stakes settings, ensuring patient safety while continuously developing your professional competencies.
This role requires flexibility with off-shifts and in-house call responsibilities to deliver exceptional care 24/7.
Schedule Requirements:
- Availability to work off-shifts, weekends, and holidays as part of the restricted in-house call rotation in partnership with other members of the core call team.
- Willingness to respond to emergency calls and provide anesthesia services within the hospital setting.
- Required to give notice when transitioning or resigning from the call team.
Responsibilities:
- Implement accurate, safe, patient-centric anesthetic care.
- Understand physiologic implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures, constantly monitoring vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry during anesthesia according to ASA guidelines.
- Ensure appropriate documentation within accordance of hospital and regulatory requirements and protect information of all forms.
- Demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care.
- Continuously engage in projects that maintain and advance professional competency.
Requirements:
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) licensure.
- Current State of Connecticut Nursing License, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the State of Connecticut.
- Prefer clinical working experience as a CRNA within the given specialty/service line recommended.
