BUS DRIVER
Do you have good communications skills, enjoy working with children of all ages and possess a good driving record? Beaverton School District needs you!!
No experience is necessary. The Beaverton School District will train you to earn a Commercial Driver's License and all necessary endorsements to become a School Bus Driver for us. All training is paid.
Full-time positions are guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week. Most drivers average over 35 hrs/wk! These positions include full medical, dental, and vision benefits for employee and family; life insurance, long-term disability, paid holidays, paid sick leave, PERS retirement, and tuition assistance.
Don't need full-time? Looking for the perfect part-time job to fit with your schedule? Becoming a School Bus Driver can be your solution! Once certified as a driver, you will be able to choose to work AM (6:00 am - 9:30 am) or PM (1:30 pm - 4:30 pm) shifts (times approximate).
Transportation Department
Purpose:
The Bus Driver safely operates a passenger school bus, for the purpose of safely transporting students and staff over scheduled routes to and from school and to and from District sponsored events. The incumbent ensures the school bus is operating safely; and ensures the safety of students during transport and while loading and unloading from the school bus.
Definitions for use in this Job Description:
- “School bus” or “bus” includes any school bus or transportation vehicle within the transportation fleet.
- “Procedures” includes any District policy, District administrative regulation, or formal written procedure governed by the District transportation department.
