Located just outside Livingston Manor in the heart of the Catskills, Beaverkill Valley Inn is a private club and boutique inn known for its warm hospitality, beautiful setting, and thoughtful attention to detail. Our property features 19 guest rooms, a full-service restaurant, and a dynamic culinary program led by Chef Tommy Finch, whose cuisine blends global influences with the rich traditions of Louisiana.

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Line Cook to join our kitchen team full-time. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can think on their feet, and takes ownership of their station.
You’ll work closely with our culinary team to execute a high-quality menu while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency. The right candidate is both a strong team player and someone who can confidently work independently when needed.
Nights and weekends are essential to this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Set up and maintain a clean, organized workstation
- Execute service efficiently and consistently during busy shifts
- Work multiple stations as needed (line, prep, garde manger, etc.)
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Assist with prep work, inventory, and kitchen organization
- Communicate clearly with team members and kitchen leadership
- Maintain awareness of ticket times and prioritize tasks accordingly

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of cooking experience in a restaurant or professional kitchen
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques, knife skills, and food safety
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to think on your feet and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sense of urgency, organization, and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable transportation / own vehicle required
Physical Requirements (NYS Compliance)
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours per shift)
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs (food products, equipment)
- Ability to perform repetitive motions including bending, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
Schedule
- Full-time hours
- Night shifts required
- Weekend and holiday availability required
Pay & Perks
