Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, materials handling, and order fulfillment to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to maintain precise stock levels and facilitate inventory audits.
- Coordinate warehouse distribution efforts, ensuring timely delivery and proper storage of goods across e-commerce and 3PL (third-party logistics) operations.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow, reduce errors, and increase productivity through innovative solutions.
- Oversee forklift operations and mechanical equipment use, ensuring adherence to OSHA safety standards and proper training for all team members.
- Monitor inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts and reconciliations to prevent shrinkage or discrepancies.
- Develop team management strategies by training staff on materials handling, heavy lifting techniques, shipping & receiving protocols, and safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of inventory management systems, logistics processes, and warehouse distribution practices.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and other relevant software platforms like OSHAsafety guidelines.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklifts, heavy lifting equipment, and materials handling tools.
- Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment processes and third-party logistics (3PL) operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to implement process improvements that streamline operations while maintaining safety standards.
