What You'll Do:
The accountant position will perform a variety of basic accounting tasks including AP, AR, document management and financial reporting. The accountant will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and proficiency with accounting software are essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. This position is located on-premises in Breckenridge, CO. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility. Transitional housing may be available.
Position starts at $60,000 - $70,000 annual salary DOE
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Accurately record all financial transactions in the company's accounting system.
- Manage document in accordance to Company and regulatory standards.
- Assist financial team with account reconciliations or ad hoc requests
- Support financial team to ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
- Manage cash including processing cash payments, disbursements, and petty cash, reconciling cash banks and ensuring secure cash handling.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Serve as back up for payroll processing.
- Partner with financial team to process invoices, payments, and accounts receivable.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent experience - required
- 1 years' experience in similar roles– required
- Experience with NetSuite – preferred
- Experience in resort or hospitality industry - preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel and – required
- Proficiency in English -written and spoken - required
