Maintenance Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY: Beaver Local School District is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual with a diverse skill set to join our maintenance team. The Maintenance Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the upkeep, repair, and overall functionality of district facilities and grounds. The ideal candidate will be capable of performing hands-on maintenance and repairs across school buildings, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for students and staff. This position also requires a working knowledge of athletic field and grounds care, including mowing, field preparation, and general landscape maintenance. Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. The ability to troubleshoot and assist with a wide range of maintenance tasks is essential. The selected candidate will be required to obtain appropriate certification for the application of herbicides and pesticides in accordance with state regulations. This position requires a dependable individual who can work independently, respond to maintenance needs in a timely manner, and contribute positively as part of a team.
