Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients’ health status, noting changes in behavior or physical condition, and report findings to management
- Assist in serving nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary plans and assist residents during meal times
- Assist the residents with self administration of medications
- Operate medical equipment such as blood pressure monitors, and other patient monitoring devices safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met
- Support residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care strategies and providing companionship
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration
- Hands-on experience with Alzheimer’s and dementia care
- Experience with HIPAA compliance is essential
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and comfort with assisting residents with mobility challenges
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with seniors, their families, and healthcare teams
At Beaver Lake Lodge we are looking to fill a part time caregiving position. The current hours we are looking to fill are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 2p - 630p , and Saturday 7a - 2p.
