What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance: Cleaning positions position at Beaver County YMCA?
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have experience in cleaning and sanitation. Must be able to work in restricted female-only areas such as restrooms, locker rooms and showers during operating hours and complete assigned work with minimum supervision. Additionally, must be able to frequently perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, climbing etc. on a daily basis.
BASIC FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the Property Manager, the Custodian will maintain a safe environment by cleaning, sanitizing, organizing the responsible areas of work.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform floor care and cleaning including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, stairs and baseboard scrubbing.
- Perform window, wall and mirror cleaning.
- Perform ceiling care including vent, light fixture/bulb replacement.
- Perform restroom and locker room cleaning and sanitation including showers, toilets, urinals, sinks, counters and lockers.
- Suggest improvements.
- Maintain professional conduct and a neat appearance consistent with the Dress Policy.
- Perform trash removal from all areas of the building.
- Maintain the YMCA grounds by pulling of weeds, trash removal, snow removal and ice-melt application.
- Perform event set up and tear down.
- Perform specific duties on the developed cleaning checklist.
- Will perform all other functions as assigned, relative to the welfare of the Association.
