Early Childhood Educator (Ages 3-7)

The Beaver Brook Children's School is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our school age programs (ages 3-7 years) for the 2026-2027 school year. This position may be full-time or part-time, with flexible scheduling available. Successful candidates will work closely with our Mentor Teachers and Lead Teachers, gaining valuable experience in a high-quality, place-based early education program.
$500 sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.
Located in Wilmington, Vermont, Beaver Brook Children's School is a nonprofit childcare and preschool program rooted in community, nature, and hands-on learning. Children and teachers spend significant time outdoors in every season, exploring the natural world and building meaningful connections with their local community.
What You'll Do:
- Support the daily care, supervision, and learning of young children ages 3-7.
- Participate in play-based learning experiences, outdoor exploration, and community activities.
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Collaborate with Mentor Teachers and Lead Teachers to implement classroom activities and routines.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team.
- Strong communication and professionalism.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of working with young children, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and walking over uneven terrain.
