Amazon Package Delivery Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering packages to various locations within 10 air miles of Oneida, TN.

This is a very laidback position with lots of flexibility.

Requirements

• Must possess valid driver's license
• Clean background and driving record (background check will be conducted)
• Must have personal vehicle to use for deliveries
• Proof of liability car insurance
• Must be able to lift 35-40 lbs (Most packages are under 1-5lbs, but there are some heavier boxes)
• Must have smartphone and must be able to navigate apps, incuding GPS software like Apple/Google maps

Hours/Schedule

• We are hiring a full time, part time position and a PRN (as needed) position
• Part time position guaranteed at least 3 days a week to begin with, more as you are trained; PRN position will be offered shifts weekly
• Schedule will fluctuate daily depending on how many packages we have to be delivered and will increase during peak times
• Working hours are flexible and will always be between the hours of 12PM-9PM depending on your preferences and availability
• You pickup your packages at your convince, all deliveries must be completed by 9PM
• Weekends will be required
• Most delivery days will only take 3-4 hours to complete

Pay

• Paid per package delivered
• Starting pay - 1.25 per package delivered during training, bumped to 1.50 per package when you can deliver independently
• Most days we will have at least 30-50 packages, more during peak times
• FOR EXAMPLE: If you deliver 38 packages in 3 hours, that averages out to $15.83 per hour
• You are responsible for fuel costs; however, all deliveries will be within 10 air miles of Oneida

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicle , adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations
• Read and follow road signs and be able to accurately find addresses
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries when applicable
• Follow all notes for deliveries, such as where to leave packages

Experience

• Previous experience in delivery driving or courier services is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation systems is beneficial
