Requirements
- Managing all bookings through the Beautify app.
- Being on time for all appointments and performing services within the time allotted.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
- Listening to the needs of clients to determine their preferences.
- Handling client questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Adhering to all standards for client service and cleanliness.
- Cleaning all client-provided workspace at the end of the appointment.
- Demonstrating your personal style while adhering to the Beautify dress code.
- Showing consideration for the comfort of clients by practicing good hygiene and limiting excessive scents (i.e., smoke, perfume, etc.).
- Consulting with clients and creating custom looks based on their specifications.
- Evaluating the condition of the client’s skin and advising them on proper skincare and suitable skincare treatments.
- Applying simple and complex makeup as required.
- Color matching across all skin tones.
- Assisting with the appropriate removal of makeup.
- Cleaning and maintaining makeup applicators and tools.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of products and being informed of the latest trends and techniques.
- Regularly attending, participating in, and supporting training and staff meetings.
- Participating in all sales, promotions, and brand-building events.
- Performing other job-related duties as required.
Essentials for Success
- Diploma or certificate from a vocational school in cosmetology, makeup, or relevant study.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to work without direct supervision (self-motivated).
- Capability to use mobile apps and other technology to view scheduled appointments, attend meetings, and complete other job-related tasks as required.
- Willingness to work as a team.
- Proven experience as a makeup artist.
- Knowledge of makeup techniques.
- Technical understanding of lighting, photography, styles, dramatization, etc.
- Understanding of health and safety rules.
- Reliable transportation.
