Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily activities of our daycare program, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. Your responsibilities will include engaging with children, assisting in educational activities, and providing care tailored to their developmental needs. Ideal candidates will have experience working with young children and a passion for early childhood education.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the supervision of children in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support the implementation of age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development.
- Engage with children through play, arts and crafts, and other interactive activities that foster learning and social skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with lead teachers to develop lesson plans and classroom management strategies.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, including diaper changes, feeding, and nap time supervision.
- Assist in behavior management strategies to support children's emotional and social development.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is essential.
- Experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures is beneficial.
- Background in preschool education, toddler care, or infant care is highly desirable.
