Preschool Lead Teacher

Beautiful Beginnings Child Care Center is looking for a teacher who is passionate about working with young Preschool children and helping them learn, explore, develop and achieve their maximum potential.

For over 25 years Beautiful Beginnings has been a high-quality early learning center, serving a racially, linguistically, and socio-economically diverse population of children and families. We serve children from six weeks through 5 years of age. Our mission is to prepare our students for social, physical, and academic success. Responsibilities:

• The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a positive classroom environment for Pre-Kindergarten children
• Develop and utilize curriculum plan utilizing the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards and modify plans as necessary based on individual and classroom level child assessment data
• Adapt curriculum to address and meet individual goals for children as identified in their Individualized Education Plans (IEP)
• Ensure that the classroom is in compliance with regulations of the Department of Human Services and Bright Stars standards.
• Supervise and monitor children at all times.
• Participate in regularly scheduled meetings to plan for and deliver collaborative services.
• Participate in reflective supervision and practices
• Provide an atmosphere that promotes and reinforces family involvement in their child’s education by welcoming families and developing relationships through regular contact.
• Help plan and conduct family engagement events as appropriate
• Work with appropriate agencies in developing specialized planning for children and families as needed
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA and our agency code of conduct
• Document children's growth through required ongoing assessments and screenings

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Human Development or Child Development
• 2 years teaching in a group childcare or public preschool environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $17.00 - $19 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Beautiful Beginnings Child Care Center operates with a COVID-19 plan that has been approved by the Rhode Island Department of Human Services. The plan will be shared with interested candidates.
