Job Description
We’re looking for energetic, hospitality-driven individuals who love creating memorable guest experiences to join our team as a Bartender at Birdseye Rooftop Bar, working at our rooftop pool deck and bar. In this role, you’ll help set the tone behind the bar, craft top-notch cocktails, and deliver a friendly, upbeat experience while keeping the atmosphere fun and welcoming. You’ll guide guests through our wine, beer, and cocktail offerings, make thoughtful recommendations, assist servers with drink orders, and stay one step ahead to ensure everyone is having an amazing time poolside.
This is a seasonal part-time position requiring weekends and holidays.
Experience
Must have at least two (2) or more years of Bartending experience in a Full-Service Restaurant, with a combination of previous Food & Beverage experience.

Essential Functions
- Assist with greeting the guest and creating a memorable first impression.
- Ensure proper set up of bar area prior to service, preparing all garnishes and drink ingredients.
- Provide detailed descriptions of all wines, beers and liquors, with the ability to effectively make recommendations.
- Service of cocktails, wine and beer in accordance with safe alcohol service standards.
- Organize and maintain consistent liquor inventory.
- Serve guests of the bar area efficiently, and with knowledge of the menu.
- Assist in developing innovative drinks for guests and bar menus.
- Adhere to the proper cash handling procedures, obtaining payment and settling all charges.
- Communicate daily drink specials and specialty menu items to the guest.
- Completion of all opening and closing side work, cleaning checklists and duties related to the shift.
- Participate in daily staff meetings and departmental training meetings.
- Ability to stand for 8’ hours length of time.
- Ability to walk/stand approximately 90% of shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuous basis.
- Exterior of hotel, including Roof Top Lounge, exposure to sun, heat, cold and changing weather conditions.
- Available in season, May–September, including; nights, weekends and holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day).
- Ability to upsell and cross sell all hotel services.
- Requires a thorough knowledge of food & beverage service.
- Requires good communication; both verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English Language. A second language is desirable.
- Familiarity with industry relevant Point of Sales systems.
- Ability to practice and adhere to all safety requirements.
- The base wage of $12/hr plus tips is calculated upon historical averages and seasonality with total compensation typically ranging between $29-$39/hr.
