Under general supervision of the Director of Maintenance and Operations, performs grounds maintenance and gardening work, and other related duties as required. May work as part of a team or independently, to perform tasks related to grounds maintenance and gardening work.

Salary Schedule 260 / Range 9: $21.37 to $29.38** per hour **Experience Credit - A maximum of three (3) years may be granted for experience outside the Beaumont Unified School District. Therefore, the maximum starting rate for external hires and internal substitutes is $24.03 per hour (Range 9, Step 4 of the Classified Hourly Salary Schedule, effective 07/01/2025). JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Education: -Graduation from high school or equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. EXPERIENCE: -ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN GROUNDS MAINTENANCE OR GARDENING WORK; -Must have a good work and attendance history. Licenses, Certifications, and Testing -Pre-employment physical and drug test; -A current and valid Tuberculosis (TB) clearance; -Fingerprint clearance for school personnel; -Pass District test with a score of 70% or better; -Must possess a valid California driver's license during the course of employment and be insurable by the District’s liability insurance carrier.
