A new, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Beaumont Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues will be offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility will provide a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.

Position Summary
The Remote Intake Clinician is responsible for reviewing online referral packets and assessing the medical and behavioral needs of the patient while consulting with the physician. The Remote Intake Clinician works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted. The Remote Intake Clinician also initiates the referral process when indicated, and communicate with referral sources. Staff also have productivity goals.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredted nursing or social work program: ADN, BSN, or MSW degree required
- LMSW or RN in the State of Michigan required
- At least 1 to 3 years of experience providing mental health services, preferably in a psychiatric hospital.
Required Work Hours: This position will work 3 12-hour shifts per week - 11 a.m. - 11:30 p.m.
This position will also work a holiday rotation and every other weekend. In addition, there will be one in-hospital day per month.
