What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher - Head Start/Early Head Start position at Beaufort-Jasper EOC?
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teachers are responsible for ensuring the care and education of a group of children as part of a teaching team. Teachers are also responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of the curriculum and coordinating all classroom activities.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops individual goals and objectives reflective of children’s assessed needs.
- Develops individualized Instruction in both large and small group settings.
- Conduct a minimum of two home visits and two parent conferences per year.
- Develops lesson plans and the implementation of these plans in the classroom.
- Conducts assessment and observations of the children and analyze data for planning.
- Participates in all mandatory workshops, in service trainings, conferences and occasional over night training.
- Maintains a professional behavior at all times.
- Maintains a clean, safe and orderly classroom and playground area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PHS only Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education
- An Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or an Infant and Toddler CDA
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Visually observe and hear children from all areas of the classroom and playground from at least 70 ft.
- Must be at least 18 years old.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Experience:
