Now Hiring: Paramedics & EMTs – Join the Gold Standard in EMS

Beaufort County EMS is seeking highly skilled and dedicated EMS professionals to join our premier, non–fire-based 911 emergency medical service. Our department is proud to offer one of the most desirable shift schedules in the industry, 24/72  providing the work-life balance today’s EMS professionals deserve.

What Makes Beaufort County EMS Different:

Dedicated 911 EMS Response – We are not fire-based and do not provide routine facility transports.

No Firefighting Duties – Focus exclusively on emergency medical response.

24/72 Shift Schedule – Extended recovery and personal time built into your schedule.

Competitive Compensation – Includes salary, benefits, and paid holidays.

High-Quality Resources – Modern equipment, professional uniforms, and body armor provided.

Balanced Call Volume – Approximately 21,000 calls annually with 11 frontline ambulances and 5 Quick Response Vehicles (QRVs). Unlike larger systems with the same number of units responding to 50,000 calls, our structure supports better call distribution, less fatigue, and higher quality patient care.

We understand the challenges EMS personnel face in dual-response or transport-heavy systems. At Beaufort County EMS, we’ve built a structure that allows you to focus on what you do best—delivering exceptional pre-hospital care.

If you’re looking for a forward-thinking agency that prioritizes professional development, employee well-being, and operational excellence, we invite you to apply.
