What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst Auditor position at Beaufort County South Carolina?
The purpose of this position is to analyze, calculate, and import large files of data for county treasurer systems, thoroughly testing and validating new system software or patches as needed. This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
- Analyzes complex data provided by government agencies for the purpose of importing and creating tax accounts, to include testing, importing, and calculating.
- Performs system administration activities for the taxing operating system and related application software upgrades, including applicable software patches, fixes, system parameters, and other related items.
- Analyzes complex problems or information; determines system capacity and recommends system changes; suggests, designs, tests, troubleshoots and evaluates complex data solutions.
- Provides project management, which includes developing project schedules, analyzing, designing, converting, testing, and implementing programming and database solutions, providing updates, and shifting priorities as needed.
- Provides support for assigned applications; debugs problems; provides support for users; and coordinates upgrades.
- Confers with vendors in resolving troubleshooting and/or repair issues.
- Coordinates the implementation of software and application upgrades.
- Completes helpdesk requests that may arise for data/software, determines the cause of issues and corrects problems.
- Maintains records of activities and prepares operational reports.
- Provides training for users as appropriate and needed.
- Performs related work as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree or education and training equivalent to four years of college education in business, liberal arts, or any field other than engineering or the hard sciences.
- Over two years and up to and including four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
