The Fire & Emergency Management Coordinator will coordinate the necessary planning, recruiting, instruction, record-keeping, and reporting for BCCC’s standard and CCP Fire Academies as well as certification and non-certification fire and emergency management courses. The coordinator must be well versed in the fire service, detail oriented, and willing to maintain a flexible schedule when needed. The coordinator will be expected to manage contracted instructors and part-time employees, provide direct instruction to students, keep up to date professionally and educationally, maintain open communication with service area public safety agencies, and to assist the director in all aspects of the Fire & Emergency Management department.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate Degree in a fire-related field. NC OSFM Level II Instructor. Valid NC driver license.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a fire-related field. Firefighter, Technical Rescuer, HazMat Ops, and FLSE certified. 5 years of experience in the Fire & Emergency Management field.
FLSA Exempt
Salary $48,000 - $56,000 Based on the College’s salary plan and commensurate with education and relevant work experience.
