Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs.
- Explain repair procedures, estimates, and recommended services clearly and confidently.
- Write detailed service orders and manage auto estimating processes to ensure accurate documentation.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and communicate progress updates to customers.
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs when appropriate.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster ongoing relationships.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or prior auto service management background is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience or automotive diagnostics expertise.
- Familiarity with automotive repair procedures including oil changes, brake repair, tire service, wheel alignments, suspension work, transmissions, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repair.
- Skilled in auto estimating software and service writing to produce accurate quotes and invoices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling services while maintaining integrity and trust with customers.
