Hours:
20-25 hours from May-June and Sept-Oct
40 hours July-August
Staff housing on site is available - please inquire for additional informtion.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including repairs of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting to uphold property standards
- Conduct inspections to identify issues early and address them promptly before they escalate
- Install fixtures, appliances, doors, windows, and other hardware as needed to enhance functionality and aesthetics
- Respond quickly to urgent repair requests to minimize downtime and inconvenience for residents or staff
- Assist with housekeeping with laundry bags, trash removal, etc.
- Collaborate with property managers or clients to prioritize repairs and maintenance schedules effectively
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards to protect yourself and others
Experience
- Proven experience in general handyman work or maintenance roles within residential, commercial, or community environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing systems, carpentry techniques, and basic appliance repairs
- Ability to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward maintenance challenges
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation between sites; relevant certifications such as electrical or plumbing licenses are a plus but not mandatory
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks safely and effectively
- Previous pool maitenance experience is preferred but not necessary
