Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Housekeeper to join our team at Bearskin Neck Motor Lodge & Eagle House Motel. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings such as hotels, hospitals, or residential homes. Your attention to detail and strong work ethic will contribute to creating a comfortable and inviting environment for our clients. Weekends are a requirement for this position. Roughly 15 hours per week
Duties:
- Cleans room according to property specific and System Standards
- Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
- Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering
- Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms
- Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items
- Make beds and clean bathrooms
- Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items
- Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order
- Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings
- Periodic window cleaning
- Vacuum carpets
- Report maintenance problems to the appropriate person
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
- Clean public bathroom area/Hideaway tables
Experience:
- Previous experience in custodial or housekeeping roles is appreciated, but not required
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus
- Ability to handle floor care tasks such as carpet cleaning or floor polishing is desirable
- Experience in the hospitality industry or hotel housekeeping is beneficial
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize workload effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
