What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Advisor - Vice President position at BearingStone Wealth, Inc.?
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President - Financial Advisor to join our practice in Williamsville, New York. This is a role for an advisor who wants the autonomy and economics of independence without having to build the infrastructure on their own.
You'll work alongside a team that has already solved the hard operational problems — planning workflow, client service, compliance, technology, and marketing — so your time goes toward advising clients and growing your business rather than running a back office.
Whether you're currently at a wirehouse, a bank or insurance channel, another independent firm, or you're an established advisor evaluating your next move, we'd like to talk.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a group of individual, business owner, and trust clients
- Deliver comprehensive financial planning across retirement income, investment management, tax-aware strategy, insurance, and estate considerations
- Develop new client relationships through firm marketing programs, referrals, and your own network
- Conduct regular reviews and proactively communicate with clients through changing markets and life events
- Collaborate with the broader advisory team on complex planning cases
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to firm and regulatory compliance standards
What We're Looking For
- Active securities and/or advisory licensing (Series 7 and 66, or Series 65)
- Life and health insurance licensing
- CFP®, ChFC®, CPA, or similar designation is a plus, but not required
- Current experience in a client-facing financial advisory role
- Strong communication skills and genuine interest in the planning side of the business, not just product
- Self-motivated, coachable, and comfortable in a team-oriented environment
Why BearingStone
Here's what an advisor joining BearingStone gets:
- Access to learn from four seasoned advisors with a combined 100 years of experience
- Firm-wide systems and processes already built and running
- Beautiful Main Street office space in Williamsville
- Access to a number of marketing plans designed to bring in new clients
- Rep-in-charge status on a portion of existing fee-based business, plus overflow business from two seasoned advisors
- Fully independent — without the risk and hassle of doing it all yourself
- Much better payout rates on your current business
Compensation
Compensation reflects your existing business, your production, and the fee-based relationships assigned to you. We're happy to walk through the specifics in a confidential conversation.
