Journey-Level General Electrician

Beardslee Electrical Concepts, Inc. is seeking a journey-level electrician to join our team in Sacramento, CA.

Beardslee Electrical Concepts, Inc. (BEC) is a commercial non-union electrical contractor serving the Greater Sacramento area. BEC has expertise in all fields of electrical construction, ranging from service to new installations across projects of all shapes and sizes, including those in Design/Build Services, Commercial Developments, Multi-Family Homes, Mix-Use, Industrial, Government, Communications, and Utility projects. BEC is seeking a technician to work with our production-driven team and be involved with the rapidly growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in commercial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, job specifications, and technical drawings.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local and national electrical codes and standards.
• Orders and obtains supplies and tools used in repair and maintenance.
• Tests and repairs various types of relays and regulators, fixtures, circuits, motors, and related equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Operates equipment only if trained and certified to operate.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Builds and maintains positive working relationships with co-workers, and the public using principles of good customer service.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician (Preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
• Proficiency in using electrical tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team.
• Valid driver's license.
• Journeyman Trade Certification in a related construction trade will be considered highly desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor settings.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, crouch, reach, and sit for extended periods.
• Ability to work in all elements (heat, cold, rain).
• Ability to work 8 -10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required, and night shifts.

Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour

Willingness to Travel:

• BEC primarily serves the Greater Sacramento area. However, there will be opportunities for work in the surrounding areas within the state of California. The ability to travel for up to 25% of the work is required.
