What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutrition Assistant (Per Diem) position at Bear Valley Community Hospital?
DEPARTMENT: Food and Nutrition Services
SHIFT: 8 Hour Shifts
POSITION SUMMARY
Cleans dietary areas and washes dishes. Set up trays neatly and accurately according to various diet orders. Checks transport cart before delivering. Washes and cuts vegetables and fruits. Abides by food safety protocols. Aides Cooks
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Performs assigned cleaning and cooking duties
- Maintains and stocks
- Internal & external customer service
- All other duties or responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) Required:
- Must maintain a current San Bernardino County Food Handler’s Certification or Serv Safe Certification.
- Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire
Education Preferred
- Prefer a minimum of High School Graduate or GED.
Experience Preferred:
- Prior experience in foodservice and / or customer service preferred.
Skills:
- Able to understand English, both written and verbal
- Able to read and follow directions for dietary plans set forth
