Identity Data Analyst & Tester (SailPoint / Okta)

About the Role
The Identity Data Analyst & Tester is a technical contract role focused on the "health" of the enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) program. You will be responsible for ensuring that identity data within SailPoint and Okta is accurate, reconciled, and compliant. This role is a mix of data forensics—identifying orphaned accounts and reconciling HR data—and rigorous technical testing of Joiner/Mover/Leaver (JML) workflows to ensure security controls are functioning as designed.
Responsibilities
SailPoint IdentityIQ / IdentityNow
- Data Recon: Analyze identities, accounts, and entitlements; reconcile SailPoint data against HR systems, directories, and applications.
- Orphan Management: Proactively identify and remediate orphaned or "shadow" accounts.
- Rule Validation: Assist in the validation of identity correlation rules and technical logic.
- Lifecycle Testing: Test automated provisioning/deprovisioning to downstream applications to ensure "Day 1" access and "Day 0" termination.
Okta Access & Integration Testing
- Workflow Validation: Execute and test Okta JML workflows (Joiner, Mover, Leaver) for accuracy.
- Mapping Verification: Verify group memberships, attribute mappings, and granular access enforcement policies.
- Discrepancy Identification: Pinpoint and resolve data mismatches between Okta, AD/directories, and SaaS applications.
IAM Testing & Control Validation
- Control Design: Execute test plans for identity lifecycle and access controls to validate SOX and ITGC operating effectiveness.
- Defect Management: Document test results, identify defects, and track remediation actions through to completion.
Audit & Compliance Support
- Evidence Collection: Act as a point of contact for audit evidence collection from SailPoint and Okta.
- Remediation Tracking: Support auditor inquiries and maintain artifacts suitable for cybersecurity leadership and audit consumption.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven track record in IAM, identity data analysis, or access governance.
- Tooling: Hands-on experience with SailPoint (IdentityIQ or IdentityNow) AND Okta is mandatory.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management and internal access governance controls.

Pay range and compensation package
Pay Rate: $50.00 – $75.00/hr (Depending on Experience)
