What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compounding Pharmacy Technician position at Bear's Compounding Pharmacy?
Bear's Compounding Pharmacy is looking for a dependable pharmacy technician to become apart of the Bear's family. We are looking for technician that will compound in our non-sterile lab. You will undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. As a pharmacy technician you must be detail-oriented and reliable. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers.
Responsibilities
- Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening
- Compound non-sterile prescriptions
- Resolve issues when they arise
- Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions
- Sort, stock, label medication and monitor prescription inventory
- Undertake administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned
- Comply with all security measures and quality standards
Skills & Requirements
- 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred but not required
- Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) license is required
- Experience with PioneerRX computer system is a plus
- Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Reliable with a keen eye for detail
- Able to lift up to 30lbs and stand for 8 hours
