Overnight Security Officer

The Security Officer will provide security services for the treatment center campus, staff and residents. You will be responsible for observing and reporting activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the safety of client property and personnel. You will also make periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment. Overnight shift.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Does not provide treatment to patients, but is a very visible BRH employee, often greeting patients when they enter the facility. Assisting with searches and testing.`

· Interacts with all staff, client and client family members in a communicative and positive manner.

· Foot, bike or golf cart patrol of interior and exterior areas of assigned locations checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, safety violations and unauthorized persons

• Observe and report suspicious activities and persons
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports
• Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance

· Operates motor vehicles, grounds and snow removal equipment.

· Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable through supervisor immediately.

· Assist in conducting all fire drills within the facility

· Inspect and adjust tools and equipment for safety and efficiency and perform a preventive maintenance as needed.

· Salting sidewalks and parking lots.

· Setting up and staging chairs for meetings, presentations and special events.

· Handles a scheduled, emergency, and routine maintenance orders.

· Remove debris from driveways and all public areas inside or out.

· Controlling access to client site or facility through the admittance process

· Communicating in a manner that is open, honest and responsible in all situations

· Perform other duties as assigned.
