We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our client's locations and property during the overnight hours. This position requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations, and understanding of their role as a theft deterrent. This is an UNARMED security position. We are looking to fill this role ASAP! The hours for this role will be 10p-6a.
THIS ROLE IS HIRING FOR 2 LOCATIONS, 1 IN EAST HARTFORD AND 1 IN SIMSBURY
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, ensuring the safety of individuals on the premises.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure security protocols are followed.
- Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to monitor activities and document incidents.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities for record-keeping purposes.
- Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Skills
- Proven experience in law enforcement or military is required!
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
