Duties
- Assist with the installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and decorative stonework using hand tools and power tools
- Prepare sites by grading, excavating, and laying out project plans in accordance with blueprints and schematics
- Operate heavy equipment such as mini-excavators, skid steers, and compactors safely and efficiently
- Support planting activities including soil preparation, planting shrubs, trees, and flowers
- Perform concrete forming, and masonry tasks to create durable landscape features
- Assist with site cleanup, material handling, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution of tasks
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in landscaping is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and basic construction techniques
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction safety standards
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical work, or roofing is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions; good stamina and teamwork skills are necessary
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality workmanship
- Certifications such as OSHA safety training or equipment operation licenses are advantageous
