What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gate Host position at Bear Lake Reserve?
Location: Bear Lake Reserve Greeter’s Cottage – 412 Lake Forest Dr. Tuckasegee, NC 28783
Shift: 8-hour shift between 8am and midnight
Job Description:
To ensure all Bear Lake Reserve guests and buyers are welcome to the community and direct them accordingly. To maintain accurate rental records including booking and cancelling reservations when necessary. Answer phone calls from guests, homeowners, and staff members regarding general information on the property and its amenities. Maintain a safe community through gate monitoring and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome all vehicles approaching the gate with a smile and a positive attitude including residents, their guests, renters, construction workers, potential home-buyers, golfers, and delivery services.
- Give all vehicles entering Bear Lake Reserve proper directions to homes and/or amenities to ensure they have a positive experience while on property.
- Monitor vehicles (construction, guests, delivery services, etc.) entering facilities using Gate Log. Report any suspicious activity to management.
- Control traffic at gates to prevent accidents and confusion.
- Complete and prepare all check-in documentation for rental arrivals.
- Maintain accurate Proximity Card, Key Log, and Rental Equipment records.
- Assist with office maintenance tasks.
- Monitor gate for maintenance issues and report accordingly.
- Open association facilities each morning and lock up each evening.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience working in Hospitality and Tourism a plus.
- Knowledge of local area and its attractions is a plus.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
