Role Description The role based in Southwest, Pennsylvania, looking to add to our team! This role is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining garage doors, openers, springs, tracks, sensors, and related hardware at customer locations. Daily tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing safety inspections, completing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work meets company and industry standards. The technician will interact directly with customers to explain findings, recommend solutions, provide clear cost estimates, and deliver high-quality service. The role also involves maintaining accurate service records, following safety procedures, and occasionally responding to urgent or emergency service calls.
Qualified candidates would be provided company truck.
Qualifications
- Technical and mechanical skills: ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Garage door and hardware expertise: experience with installation and repair of doors, openers, springs, tracks, cables, sensors, and related safety systems.
- Customer service and communication skills: ability to communicate clearly with customers, explain technical issues in straightforward terms, and provide professional, courteous service.
- Safety and reliability: strong awareness of safety practices, ability to follow company protocols, and consistent punctuality and dependability.
- Physical capabilities: ability to lift and carry equipment and materials, work on ladders, and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and manual dexterity.
- Experience and education: prior experience in garage door service, construction, or a similar trade is preferred; relevant certifications (IDEA) or technical training are a plus.
- Licensing and transportation: valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
