What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter/Powdercoat 1st shift position at Bear Custom Products?
Powder Coat Painter -
Schedule - Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shifts
(Basic hours are 4:00am - 2:30 pm Mon - Thurs)
Conditions:
- Extreme heat in the summer
Description:
- Ability to prepare the manual booth, pumps, and paint hoppers for powder coating of product.
- Ability to prepare the automatic booth, pumps, and paint hoppers for painting/
powder coating of product.
- Ability to prepare and set the paint gun to the correct KVS settings for each paint type to maintain proper paint flow, achieve proper mil coverage as determined by working standards, and to minimize paint waste from improper settings.
- Ability to coat a variety of surfaces (steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.) while maintaining proper adhesion and mil thickness.
- Demonstrate the ability to follow all company policies related to the quality management system and any internal or external standards.
- Demonstrate the ability to report to work in a timely manner for all scheduled shifts,
including overtime, and complete all assigned task including those outside your normal job description.
- Required to lift 50-60 lbs. occasionally
-Must be able to wear a supplied air respirator
- Must be able to work in high heat environment
-Good attendance required
