What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) (Overnight) position at Bear Creek Wellness?
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support to individuals recovering from substance abuse and alcoholism. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
Some of the Responsibilities included are:
- Drive residents and participants with alcohol and drug abuse issues to outside meetings, appointments, and outings on time according to the drive schedule
- Conduct searches when needed; inventory client personal property with clients upon intakes; utilize good communication skills in working with clients, their families, and significant others on a daily basis and while in crisis
- Ensure that the client activity and treatment schedule is adhered to; must be a role model at all times, and if applicable, shares personal experience, strength, and hope and act as a sobriety role model.
- Perform drug and alcohol testing per protocol when necessary
- Diligently monitor clients at all times during shift
- Light housekeeping and ensuring general cleanliness of the center
- Ability to maintain composure under emergent circumstances
The minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalency test (HiSET), or general equivalency diploma (GED), familiarity with the twelve-step program of recovery, and if in recovery, a minimum one-year continuous sobriety with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Current Adult CPR certification
Current Adult First Aid certification
Valid Driver’s License
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
