Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure efficient daily operations
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, laundry facilities, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Train team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, laundry processes, and customer service expectations
- Oversee inventory management for cleaning supplies, linens, detergents, and laundry equipment
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to guarantee a safe working environment for all staff
- Collaborate with other departments to meet guest needs promptly and effectively
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, maintenance issues, inventory levels, and staff performance
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in housekeeping or janitorial services within a hospitality or hotel setting
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team
- Extensive janitorial experience including commercial cleaning techniques and standards
- Hands-on laundry experience managing linen services or laundry operations in a hospitality environment
- Knowledge of custodial practices, safety procedures, and sanitation regulations
- Familiarity with hotel or hospitality industry standards for cleanliness and guest service excellence
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
