Position Overview We are seeking a highly meticulous and analytical Data Review Analyst to join our growing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of critical business data and reporting used for strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional attention to detail, strong proficiency in SQL and data quality tools, and a proven ability to investigate discrepancies, reconcile complex datasets, and document findings systematically. You will serve as a crucial gatekeeper for data integrity across various business functions. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed, systematic audits and quality checks on high-volume data sets derived from multiple source systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, proprietary databases). Execute complex SQL queries to extract, compare, and validate data integrity, identifying anomalies, missing values, deviations, and errors. Reconcile conflicting data points across various systems and reports, prioritizing critical discrepancies for immediate investigation and resolution. Develop, maintain, and monitor key data quality metrics (KQMs) and dashboards to proactively track data health and performance. Document data review methodologies, findings, root cause analyses, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for audit readiness. Collaborate closely with Data Engineers and IT teams to implement fixes and system enhancements that prevent future data quality degradation. Track the status of open data issues and discrepancies through resolution, ensuring appropriate stakeholders are informed of progress. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Experience: 2 years of professional experience in a data quality, data auditing, business analysis, or detailed financial reconciliation role. Technical Proficiency: Expert proficiency in writing and executing complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and validation (joins, aggregations, subqueries). Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, lookup functions) for large-scale data cleansing and analysis. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and environments (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Azure SQL). Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving. Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to distinguish between data entry errors and systemic data pipeline failures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex data issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
