Job Summary
Bear Branch Cabins is looking for a dependable and motivated General Maintenance Technician to help maintain our vacation rental properties.
This position involves a variety of outdoor and indoor maintenance tasks. Every day is different, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys staying active, solving problems, and working with their hands.
ResponsibilitiesProperty Maintenance
- Replace HVAC air filters
- Change water filters
- Clean mini-split filters
- Drain and clean hot tubs
- Perform property inspections
- Report larger maintenance issues
Grounds Maintenance
- Mow grass
- Weed eat
- Spray weeds
- Remove debris
- Maintain the appearance of cabin grounds
General Repairs
- Replace door handles and hardware
- Repair or replace door locks
- Tighten loose fixtures
- Complete minor repairs
- Assist with preventative maintenance
Additional Duties
- Pick up supplies
- Help prepare cabins between guests
- Assist with seasonal projects
- Other maintenance tasks as assigned
QualificationsRequired
- Basic maintenance or handyman experience
- Ability to troubleshoot simple maintenance issues
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently
- Strong work ethic
Preferred
- Experience with vacation rentals
- Landscaping experience
- Maintenance experience
- Construction or handyman background
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent walking, bending, climbing, and lifting
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
Schedule
- Part-time
- 20–30 hours per week
