What are the responsibilities and job description for the Break person needed position at Bear-a-boo daycare?
We’re currently looking for someone reliable to help cover Our breaks! someone retired or a highschool student who’s looking for work this summer would be a great fit as well & give us time to find a replacement!

- Is patient, consistent, and not easily overwhelmed

Responsibilities
- Take over duties in a classroom to allow teachers to take their breaks
- support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies
- Work closely with children to foster social skills, emotional regulation, and independence through individualized attention and group activities
- Follow instructions given by teachers
- Supervise children during activities, transitions, lunch, recess, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being
- Maintain open communication with teacher
- Experience.
- Ability to manage behaviors in a calm, respectful, and consistent way
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly in the moment
- Ability to stay calm and professional during challenging situations
- Willingness to learn and take direction from lead teachers
- Ability to meet state licensing requirements (background check, etc.)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Childcare coursework or early childhood education is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, students, and families
