Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
- Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately.
- Handle cash transactions, including processing payments and providing change.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise as needed.
- Supervise junior staff or new associates during busy periods.
- Address customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Promote store products and services to enhance sales opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in cash handling is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for customers.
- Familiarity with retail sales environments, particularly in grocery stores, is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
